I create live action, unscripted videos – mostly with kids – for GBH, a producer of programs for PBS. I shoot, edit, make motion graphics, and compose background music. I have created interstitials and web videos for Arthur, Curious George, Design Squad and many other shows.
In 1983 I received a BFA in Film, Video & Animation from Rhode Island School of Design. In 1986 I started my freelance business and I did all kinds of film and video production work in Providence, RI. As a partner in a production company – Eastfilms – I directed TV spots for ad agencies and made videos for corporations and non-profits. I worked as a freelance shooter, the assistant director on a low budget feature, and I directed a couple of country music videos in Nashville.
Since 1995 I have been working for GBH as an independent contractor. From 1996 to 2003 I was an adjunct instructor at RISD in the FAV Department teaching classes in video and sound for the screen.
